A Special Food & Spirits Pairing featuring J. Rieger Co. & Celebrity Mixologist Tim Wiggins

Let’s explore the golden age of the cocktail as a culinary art form with some pros, shall we?  The fine folks at J. Rieger Co. and Celebrity Mixologist Tim Wiggins will be in the house tonight to demonstrate the “craft” of sophisticated cocktails paired with killer tapas (aka ‘small plates’).

Tim is no slouch in his industry. Shortly after opening the wildly popular Retreat Gastropub, a craft cocktail-focused restaurant in St. Louis, he was named Sauce Magazine’s “Ones to Watch” followed by “Best Bartender In St. Louis”!  He then created two more St. Louis cocktail meccas, Yellowbelly and Lazy Tiger, and has been named a "Top 5 innovators in STL" Award in 2018. If you’d like to up your home bartending game or just have an entertaining night out, then this one’s for you. 

We’ll get the party started as you’re greeted with one of Tim’s famous craft cocktail creations.  Then you’ll sit back and let the pros tell you how it’s done as they walk you through the Frio Fresco, the Pandan Old Fashioned, a signature Reiger whiskey cocktail, and more of his favorites. Yes, there will be tastings.  How could we not?

No cocktail party is complete without great food so Chef Erik Sharp whose impressive resume includes Pastry Chef for KC’s renowned American Restaurant and founder of Three Spoons of Sugar.  He’ll conjure up some fabulous ‘small plate’ tapas to serve between cocktail tastings. 

As always, you’ll go home with all of the food and cocktail recipes, too! Hey, we wouldn’t leave you hangin’ now would we? When this engaging class is over, you’ll leave with the confidence to elevate your next soiree from meh to yea!

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing.
