We’re smack dab in the middle of fall, and that can only mean one thing…..that’s right, It’s time to fire up your oven for some baking fun!

Today’s 3-hour baking fundamentals class will explore a couple of classic fall favorites – Old-Fashioned Carrot Cake with a luscious cream cheese icing and Pumpkin Muffins. Yum! If you love to bake, and especially if you don’t, maybe it’s time to learn to take your baking skills up a notch!  And, we have the perfect professional to show you how it’s done.

Chef Natasha Goellner is a graduate of The French Culinary Institute, past owner of Mulberry & Mott and currently the Pastry Chef at The Antler Room….rest assured, you’ll be guided by a baking pro.

She’ll get right to it as she shares loads of expert baking tips and techniques like the proper way to measure your ingredients, mixing, icing tips, and more while showing you how to make the perfect cake, step-by-step.

Finding a really good carrot cake recipe can be challenging. They’re either too dry or go overboard on the spices. No worries, though…… just one yummy bite of Chef Natasha’s favorite carrot cake is all you need to be hooked.  Not to mention, her recipe has been tested and enjoyed by her own family for years. Uh, huh…that’s what I’m talkin’ about. 

Next, you’ll learn to make your new cool-weather besties – that’s right, Pumpkin Muffins.  But wait, there’s more! Chef will also whip up some homemade Pumpkin Butter – perfect for slathering on your warm muffins. Whoa.  Don’t worry, you’ll get to tie on an apron and get in on some of the baking fun, too.

Get ready for ooh’s and aah’s when you showcase these savory treats at autumn parties and holiday get-togethers...or surprise your family with homemade baked goodies. They're worth it, too!
