Magnificent Moroccan Cuisine featuring Chicken Tagine

Rich farmland and an abundance of fine ingredients and exotic spices combine to make Morocco a culinary mecca.   No other cuisine surpasses Morocco’s subtle use of multi spice blends which are used to enhance the natural flavor of food, not mask it.  Saffron, cinnamon, cumin, preserved lemons, olives, filo, honey and couscous – all key ingredients. 

Tonight, we have the perfect person to show you how to prepare authentic Moroccan cuisine.  Originally from Morocco, Asmaa Benbaba has been teaching students to cook traditional Moroccan food for many years, and we’re excited to showcase her talents as she introduces you to some iconic Moroccan recipes from her homeland.

She's share her expertise as you learn to prepare an authentic Chicken Tagine, and a perfectly paired savory eggplant side dish, and yu’ll end your meal with one of Asmaa’s favorite Moroccan desserts.  You’ll get in on some of the cooking action and learn lots of culinary techniques as you tie on an apron and help this interesting professional with some of tonight’s cooking activities.

In the end, you’ll sample everything and leave with all the recipes and the confidence to recreate these exotic dishes at home.
