Blitzen’s ‘Black Friday’ Holiday Cookie Deco Party! (And, Yes, Virginia, There Will Be Cocktails!)

The holidays just aren’t complete without a fun cookie decorating party where everyone makes decorated holiday treats to take home and show off.  So, let’s kick off the holiday season the right way...with a special cookie decorating workshop that will cover real-deal and useful cookie baking and decorating techniques and tips that will have you making your own colorful holiday cookies like a pro, in no time. 

We invite all everyone 21 and older to experience this fun and interactive old-fashioned, holiday festivity.  Our Head Cookie Elf Vicky Lara is an experienced culinary instructor and cookie decorating expert, so you’re sure to learn a lot.

We’ll get our festive party started with a special Rudolph’s “You Can Even Say It Glowed” Holiday Craft Cocktail. Don’t worry, it’s always5:00 at the North Pole!

Then you’ll tie on an apron and move dive right into this interactive class as you explore the fundamentals of cookie dough handling, cutting, baking, and decorating.  We’ll have some premade dough ready for you to roll.  (Don’t worry you’ll get the recipe.) and Vicky will teach tips and techniques for rolling, cutting, how to use cookie cutters, baking and of course decorating.

While the cookies are baking and cooling, you'll learn some basic techniques like how to work with pastry bags, decorating tips, how to make and work with glaze and buttercream icings, proper method for coloring icing and glaze, as she gets your holiday-inspired imagination flowing. 

Then, you’ll get some frosting to start with and it’ll be up to you to make it your own with festive food coloring. Get ready to practice what you’ve learned and work on colorful holiday designs, step-by-step. Lots of valuable hands-on experience as Vicky shows you how to use these techniques to transform a plain cookie into some of her favorite holiday designs.  Of course, she’ll have some sample cookies decorated to show you how all of this is done. 

We’ll have very merry holiday music, hot cocoa, and munchies available, too!  At the end of this class, we’ll send you home with your sweet holiday cookie creations in a baker’s box, all ready to show off  …and to EAT of course!
