Goodbye 2021! Hello 2022! An Elegant New Year’s Eve Cooking Party!

Throw out those dumb party hats and start your New Year’s Resolutions tomorrow! Let’s go ‘all out’ this year and do something different ..and TASTY to ring out the old!

Join the dynamic culinary duo of Food & Beverage Director Bruce Campbell & Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt as they team up tonight for a special New Year’s Eve food and spirits feast!  These two engaging professionals’ classes are consistently some of our most popular so you’re in for a real treat, folks! 

They’ll get our festive evening underway as you’re greeted with an appetizer and one of  Bruce’s favorite cocktails he's dubbed the “2021 Gone a-Rye.”  (Um, ya think?!) 

Next, you’ll become winemakers as Bruce shows you how to blend your own California style “meritage” wine to drink along with your special dinner. You heard me.  You’ll learn how to create your very own vintage. Heck, you can even come up with a clever name for your special wine.  Auld Lang Vine?  Resolution Rosé? (Ok, I’ll stop.)   

Then it’s time to learn important cooking techniques such as the correct way to sauté and an easy sous vide method.  (Sous, who?  Join our class and learn what the buzz is all about with this trendy cooking technique!)

Our menu tonight will include Winter Pear, Bleu Cheese and Pecan Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette that you’ll enjoy with sparkling wine, Beef Tenderloin with Steak Butter served alongside Citrus-Herb-Infused Shrimp. For dessert, how about an elegant Crème Brulee to help ring in the new year along with a decadent after-dinner drink.  Simply.  Fabulous. You'll get to assist with some of tonight's menu too!
