Oodles of (Asian) Noodles with Chef Yvette Hirang

Class Description: 

Noodles are a symbol of longevity in the Asian culture, and whether wide or skinny, they can be found in hundreds of different forms all over the world.

Join Chef Yvette Hirang as she shares a cultural, historical and product overview of the world of noodles AND teaches you the fundamentals of making and cooking with different types of Asian noodles. She's an experienced Asian chef with a teaching style that’s easy to follow (plus she’s lots of fun, too) so she’s the perfect person to show you how it’s done. 

She’ll start by teaching basic noodle-making skills (yes, it’s a thing) as then move on to a step-by-step lesson as she shows you how to make not one, not two, but THREE types of Asian noodles – Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese.  Whoa!

And that’s not all, she’ll also show you the proper way to cook and use them to create traditional dishes.   Not only will you get to taste all of the dishes learned in class, you’ll also get to tie on an apron and help prepare one of the dishes alongside this engaging instructor.

As always, you’ll leave with the recipes and the confidence to recreate these yummy noodles recipes in your own kitchen. Did we mention there will also be sake tasting, too? Lucky you!  What a fun way to unwind on a Friday night! 

NOTE:  Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
