Asian Cooking Lessons – Vegetarian Delights including Sushi
Asian cuisine is fresh, flavorful, and interesting, not to mention, healthy with loads of delicious vegan options. Today’s instructor, Chef LaDonna Johnson is a plant-based cooking expert and owner of her own business – Organic Soul. Yep, she walks the walk and talks the talk when it comes to healthy cooking.
Chef LaDonna will lead you in this fun and interesting Asian cooking class that will focus on different approaches to using fresh produce and how to combine them with spices and sauces to create sweet and savory plant-based/vegan recipes that are perfect for quick meals. Chef will also share tips for shopping at an Asian market including a discussion of different sauces or seasoning for soups and broths as well as noodles that are available.
She’ll teach basic culinary techniques like knife skills, stir-fry and sauce & soup-making techniques, and more as you learn to prepare delicious Asian favorites like a plant-based Tom Yum Soup and vegan Sushi Rolls. You’ll get to assist chef with some of the cooking activities and, as always, you’ll take home the recipes so you can recreate these healthy Asian dishes at home.
