Class Description: 

Take a delicious journey to India as we explore the diverse flavors and mystical world of Indian cuisine … made fun and easy under the expert guidance of instructor, Tracy Blizman.

Tracy is an experienced healthy cooking instructor who has visited India many times and is passionate about Indian culture and cuisine. You’ll sit back and relax as she shares lots of interesting stories about her travels while teaching fundamental culinary cooking techniques, discussing Indian spices and how to identify them, and more. 

Our flavorful menu that is one that will take your cooking repertoire beyond its usual borders.  We’ll learn interesting recipes such as Upma – a hearty (and healthy!) breakfast dish made with grains, veggies, and ginger, Kitchari - a nourishing Ayurvedic comfort food, and more.  Tracy will also show you how to make a modern version of one of her favorite Indian desserts – Carrot Halwa Trifle.

You’ll taste everything learned in class and leave with all the recipes, too. Expect to be amazed by how wonderful Indian cuisine is and how easy it will be to recreate these flavor-filled dishes for friends and family at home!

NOTE:  Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
