Super Fresh Summer Salads & Dressings
Demonstration Class | Tasting
Mon 7/25/22 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Salad doesn’t just mean lettuce and bottled dressing. Wouldn’t it be great to have an arsenal of recipes and salad-making techniques that would keep your menus from getting boring? Forget about those bagged salad mixes…..let's raise the salad bar.
Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt, along with her fun personality and passion for teaching, will lay some expert knowledge on you while she explores the art of the salad. She’ll teach essential culinary techniques like basic knife skills, whisking and more as she whips up deliciously simple homemade dressings and discusses make-ahead salad ideas, balancing flavors, prep tips, and a lot more.
From simple composed salads to heartier full dinner salads, Chef Jill covers it all with recipes that include a beautiful Salmon Nicoise Salad (Oui Oui!), a new summer twist on the plain ole Taco Salad (including a jalapeno lime vinaigrette to-die-for, and a lovely “Fall in Love with Summer” Goat Cheese Salad. Wow!
