Tonight, we’ll focus on the marvelous Cajun cuisine of New Orleans, and the hearty cooking of Acadiana (or “Cajun country”) right here in the CCKC kitchen. Our own Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt is ready to take you down south as she teaches some of her personal favorite Cajun dishes.
Come learn the secrets to making authentic French-Creole food from a real culinary pro and you’ll see (and taste!) for yourself why this unique cuisine is so darn popular. Our lip-smaking southern menu starts with a creamy Crawfish Dip. Next up, savory N’Awlin’s-inspired Chowder – it’s soooo darn good! For our entrée, Chef will dazzle you with great tips for preparing Blackened Shrimp and finally, how ‘bout a classic bourbon-flavored dessert. Ayee!
NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
