Traditional Chinese Dim Sum – An Interactive Cooking Class!

Class Description: 

If you like dim sum like we do, and want to learn to make it at home, this class is for you. Tonight, you’re in for a treat when you get what you have always dreamed of as you learn to make a variety of authentic Chinese Dim Sum along with awesome lessons in cooking like a rock star from our own Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt.   She’ll teach the fundamentals of basic Asian cooking while you assist with some of the cooking activities and practice a few basic culinary techniques. 

Dim Sum has been a favorite meal of Asian families for centuries. Dim Sum (or Yum Cha, meaning “taking tea”) is basically the Asian version of “tapas” or “small dishes.” The diner chooses from a variety of offerings brought to the table, and sometimes even prepared tableside. These little dishes make great appetizers, too.

You’ll walk away with tons of information on how to cook these authentic Asian delights in your own kitchen. What a fun and interesting way top cap off your weekend! 

NOTE:  Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
