‘Rising Culinary Star’ Spotlight: Chef Isaac Perry (The Antler Room, KC)
Hands On | Food Tastings & Southern-Inspired Cocktail
Tue 8/9/22 6:30-9:00 p.m.
It’s always such a pleasure to introduce a local culinary ‘rising star’ through the magic and intimacy of a cooking class. Tonight, we welcome Chef Isaac Perry into our kitchens, with his deep experience and creative culinary mind. You’ll get to step inside the mind of a hungry and talented chef who simply loves sharing what he has learned as well as recipes he can call his own.
We'll start the evening with a refreshing southern-inspired Bourbon Sweet Tea Cocktail. Then you’ll get to know Chef Isaac as he teaches you how to recreate his ‘take’ on a Hot Nashville Chicken Sandwich but Chef's will have an interesting Asian influence.
Think homemade brioche bun (yes you’ll learn how to make it!) topped with his killer Asian blend called ‘furikake’ then filled with a perfectly prepped chicken that has been brined, breaded and perfectly cooked ‘the right way.’ Then he’ll walk us through a Miso Aioli and Purple Cabbage Slaw. We'll top this amazing dish with his Signature House-Made Pickles. And yes, you’ll get that recipe as well. This might just become your new favorite dish.
Expand your home-cooking (and eating!) horizons as you learn the versatile techniques to make all the dishes served tonight as well as some real kitchen know-how. You’ll even get a bit of hands-on experience in our kitchens.
For a sweet treat he will share his recipe for a Bourbon Pecan Glazed Banana Pudding to end our fabulous cooking class with a rising culinary star.
