Friday Night Fights -  A Friendly Italian Culinary Competition!

Class Description: 

Chef Nancy Vendetti knows a thing or two about competitions. Let’s just say she has done her time on the Food Network in Cupcake Wars where she landed at 2nd place and Cake Wars where she landed at 3rd place.  Just sayin’. She is pretty darn passionate about cooking too!  Especially Italian cuisine because she grew up cooking at her Mother’s Italian restaurant.

Tonight, you’ll learn how to cook like an Italian in this interactive and super fun cooking class and friendly competition.  We’ll start with an Italian Bruschetta dish that we are certain you’ll make at your next dinner party.  Then, she will demonstrate how to make an Italian recipe of her mom’s that will send you waiving the Italian flag out the window of your car on the way home tonight.  No really.  It’s that good.  If that’s not enough, you’ll learn how she makes her famous Eggplant Manicotti all the while as she lays some essential cooking techniques on you.

When it comes to the Italian dessert, well, she will give you some pointers, and then the [friendly] competition begins.  If you think she’s gonna tell you what that dish is before you get to class, …you can fuhgeddaboudit!  Chef will let you loose to create your own version of it. You’ll have ingredients to choose from and some techniques that you can incorporate…if you choose.  Your final product will be judged by Chef who will choose who is the Italian Superstar Chef (or Chefs!).  Oh yeah…there WILL be prizes.  But, of course, we all know that everyone will be creating something yummy and beautiful, so the real winner is, well, everyone! Prepare to be amazed at yourself and have loads of fun too! 

NOTE:  Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
