Who says bigger is better? Join us for an interesting pastry arts class as you learn to make a variety of delectable ‘mini’ tart desserts. We have the perfect person in our kitchen to show you how it’s done.
Chef Nancy Vendetti is an award-winning baking professional with years of culinary experience under her belt. She’s eager to show you that bigger isn’t always better as you learn to make some incredible mini tart desserts.
She’ll start by teaching two different crusts – Linzer dough (made with hazelnuts) and a basic short dough crust. Then she’ll share a ‘secret’ technique that will have you filling an entire tart pan with crusts - in one shot…..seriously, one shot. Doesn’t get better than that…plus, it’s a real time saver. You’re welcome.
Next, Chef Nancy will explore the techniques to make yummy fillings with flavors like almond and raspberry, and a decadent chocolate ganache. Yum! She’ll cover it all as she teaches essential baking tips and techniques in her easy-to-understand teaching style and then brings it all together when you learn to make an assortment of delicious mini tarts. These small, but mighty (delicious) mini tart desserts are perfect for fancy entertaining, family gatherings and just the right size for kids to enjoy too!
