Wouldn’t be great to have something in the freezer and on hand that can be quickly made into spectacular sweet and savory dishes? Well then frozen puff pastry is your new best friend! Pastry Chef Nancy Vendetti has the culinary cred and can prove it: She was a finalist on BOTH Cake Wars and Cupcake Wars. You KNOW she has mad skills in the kitchen.
She’ll start by explaining what puff pastry is all about, where to find it, how to store it and tips for how to work with it. Then once you establish the foundation, it’s off to the races as she shows you how to use prepared frozen puff pastry to create sweet and savory dishes that will make entertaining and weeknight meals easy-schmeasy. From the classic filled pastries to some sassy savory appetizers and entrees. You’ll learn to make lemon curd, fruit and cheese fillings as well as savory tarts and turnovers.
No one will know you started with frozen puff pastry. Better destroy the box…ahem, the evidence.
