This high hands-on course will cover the essentials of creating tiered and stacked cakes. Whether it’s a wedding cake, anniversary cake or a spectacular birthday cake, you’ll be able to utilize these fundamentals and skills to make a statement with your cakes!
Much focus will be placed on building a solid foundation … from preparing the cakes with leveling and filling to what boards and rods to use to assemble your tiers. Working with cake decorating expert Rachel Van Stratton, you’ll build and decorate your own 2-tier cake as you learn.
Using American Buttercream Icing, she’ll show you how to use icing tips to create beautiful designs and fun piping details. Your take-home cake will be a charming addition to your family’s dinner table… although we bet it will be too pretty to eat.
